CNC Magic Screen Machine

Description:

This is the update for the Magic Screen Machine

I have added the ability to control the machine via the open source EMC2 machine controller software system.

Warning: This is an advanced project that is likely to destroy things. I lost a atmega8, uln2803, and a stepper motor in the process of building it. No, really! Since it hooks up via a Parallel port to a computer, who know what damage it could do.

Schematic:

Schematic in ExpressSCH format

Source:

Source for ATMega8 running at 1mhz using internal oscillator.

Notes:
Prototype Version. Finished Version.

To see how the frame to attach the stepper motors to the device was made see blog entry covering the building.

None of this would be possible without the tireless help of Paul Atkinson (Electronics Genius Extraordinare).

Thanks to Bob Sheldon for doing the finishing work on the final design.
